My husband and I have recently returned from a week’s stay in this lodge and have to say, it was perfect.
The lodge itself is very comfortable and cosy with everything you need, and the hot tub is amazing especially when used in the evenings with all the little decking lights on.
It is so peaceful with only the sounds of the birds and sheep that you feel you are miles from anywhere, yet you are not.
You are ideally situated for exploring Bowland Forest, Lancashire, the Yorkshire Dales, The lakes, Blackpool, Leeds and all the lovely little towns around like Skipton, Settle and Clitheroe.
If you are in need of a relaxing peaceful holiday we would thoroughly recommend this place. Great country escape!

We were a party of 4 adults and a toddler. Paul the owner was there to meet us and go through all the necessaries he was very helpful. The cabin is warm and toasty as is the hot tub which was used constantly during our long weekend. The facilities were brilliant we lacked nothing. It is great for mountain biking and walking and we did some of both. There are plenty of places to eat close-by including the Crows Nest which is in walking distance and very pleasant. Very well designed and more spacious than you would imagine from looking at the photographs.

We stayed here for a week after searching tirelessly for a holiday home with hot tub near Settle. Paul met us on arrival and was extremely helpful and friendly. The lodge has lots of character which is exactly what we were looking for. The lodge is on a large piece of land which guests are free to use which kids loved. Word of advice for anyone planning to take push bikes, there seem to be two adverts for this lodge on TripAdvisor. One of the adverts state that there is bike storage and additional locked storage. Due to this we took the kids bikes on the assumption we could store them in outdoor storage. We were advised however that the outdoor storage contains chemicals therefore is not available for guests to use. This wasn’t a huge issue for us as the kids bikes are relatively inexpensive so we just left them out on the decking area however had my husband and I taken our bikes that would have been an issue as they cost over £1,000 each. We are biking professionals as you may have guessed. Would definitely recommend this lodge though. We had a wonderful time at Gisburn Forest.
